Strengthening collaboration and improvement capability
Supporting leadership, coaching and team development within a complex international energy organisation.

What we achieved
Stronger collaboration and confidence
Participants developed greater confidence, self-awareness and stronger collaboration across cohorts.
Increased internal coaching capability
The organisation strengthened its internal ability to support improvement through leadership development and reflective coaching.
More sustainable improvement culture
What began as technical coaching evolved into broader cultural and leadership development supporting long-term capability.

Where the work began
The organisation operates across a large international energy environment, supporting electricity distribution and supply, renewables and broader energy services. enapay initially supported Lean Six Sigma coaching before the work expanded into leadership development, team coaching and Black Belt cohort support.
What wasn’t working
The organisation wanted to move beyond technical improvement training to develop stronger collaboration, greater leadership confidence and a sustainable capability for improvement internally.
- 01
Technical dependency
Improvement activity risked becoming overly focused on technical delivery rather than on leadership and behavioural capability.
- 02
Collaboration gaps
Teams needed stronger collaboration and shared ownership across communities.
- 03
Sustainable capability
The organisation wanted improvement capability to become embedded internally rather than dependent on external support.
What we changed
We created coaching environments where people felt both challenged and supported as they applied improvement thinking to real operational situations.
Participants began to see their roles differently, developing greater confidence in collaboration, leadership and reflective thinking. Many took on greater leadership responsibilities through the programme.
What started as project coaching evolved into something much broader: building a stronger internal improvement culture through leadership, reflection, coaching and practical application.

“Sharon created an environment that challenged and supported people to grow. Her coaching helped develop professionals and leaders while building capability that improved how work gets done.”
Final reflection
What began as technical improvement support became something much deeper. As people gained confidence, they became more willing to share ideas, challenge assumptions and support one another’s development. Sustainable improvement grew from those conversations and relationships, not from the tools alone.
Let’s have a conversation
If the challenges you’re facing feel difficult to name or untangle, a conversation can often help make sense of them.
